Summary: HB 465 is an assortment of legislative changes grouped into one bill. Most notably, it further restricts access to abortion and puts patients privacy in jeopardy. It tripled the mandatory waiting period for a woman seeking an abortion to 72 hours; requires annual inspections of clinics and the publication of findings on a state website and on the "Woman's Right to Know Act" website; restricts physicians allowed to perform abortions; and requires the reporting of patient medical records to NC Department of Health and Human Services.
