Summary: Transfers City of Asheville's water system to Metropolitan Sewer District; creates an appointed governance board from local governments within the service area.  There is no compensation provided to the City of Asheville.  Note:  This law is being challenged in court by the City of Asheville. Click here for official bill history, bill text, and vote records.

Status: Introduced in the House, heard in the House Committee on Finance and Senate Committee on Finance. Passed 5/2/2013. Became law without the governor's signature 5/14/2013.
